What is vetting?

Vetting is the set of processes we follow to investigate potential candidates thoroughly, to ensure that they are trustworthy, honest, reliable and have the suitable skills, experience, educational level and age for the job.

What processes are involved in our vetting?

  • Medical test for pregnancy, HIV, tuberculosis and hepatitis B. From 2019 we will be including hepatitis C.
  • Residential address verification - We visit the residential address of all applicants to know and record where they live.
  • Guarantor credentials - All applicants are required to provide at least 2 guarantors who will sign to be vicariously liable for any criminal act committed by the applicant. The only categories of guarantors we accept are:
  • Full time employed
  • Married with children
  • Pastors of reputable churches
  • Landlords
  • Business owners
  • Risk assessment - We conduct a risk assessment on all applicants to know the level of risk they may pose to you and your family. Some of the risk factors include, tendency to steal, family intrusion, promiscuity, dishonesty, insubordination, violence and phone usage amongst others.
  • Psychometric testing - If we suspect that a particular applicant is mentally unstable, we give them a psychometric assessment to measure their mental capabilities and behaviour style.
  • Police station registration - In some cases (not all) we may take an applicant to a local police station for them to sign all the necessary documentation in the presence of a police officer.
  • Induction/Orientation training - If the applicant has passed all the vetting processes, the last stage is to provide them with an orientation training. We use this opportunity to inform them of our codes of conduct, and for them to sign all our documents and policies.

Once your an applicant/candidate starts working for you as a househelp, we will handle all the ongoing employment related issues since they are employed by us to work in your home.
